Mainly made light tables in veneer and marquetry, stamped: L. Péridiez. Louis Péridiez, known as the younger, born in 1731, son of Brice and brother of Gérard Péridiez, despite a very turbulent life, left, like his father and his brother, furniture made with great care and of great quality. After working as a journeyman on rue de Charenton, he settled on rue Faubourg Saint-Antoine and joined the Gardes-françaises while continuing his trade as a cabinetmaker. He obtained his master's degree in 1764, undoubtedly thanks to his father-in-law Pierre Joubert, cabinetmaker to the king. To escape his creditors, he suddenly disappeared towards the end of the reign of Louis his in-laws, he is employed by the Crown Furniture Guard to carry out some minor work for the Château de Choisy. His small production includes works in the Louis XV, Transition and Louis XVI style, with robust but harmonious shapes, very architectural lines and often decorated with rich floral marquetry.
