Silver chocolate maker from the 18th century, beautiful pear-shaped tripod model. Superb and extremely rare original handle in blackened wood representing a dolphin and scallop shells. This type of handle is only known in a few examples. See Sztejnberg Collection Ader sale lot 17 of September 29, 2021 and another model referenced in the book “Les orfèvres de Bourgogne” page 427. This Belle Chocolatière is well stamped in the lid, on the neck and at the bottom.
