"Breton Character Musician Figurehead 19th Century. Oak Sculpture Statue"
Originally from Brittany - or the North of France - this musical character would, according to family tradition, be a figurehead who adorned a ship in the 19th century. It can also be a shop or tavern sign. Oak wood. Used condition, some accidents and restorations, raw oak patina. Made up of several pieces of wood assembled using a system of dowels. Disjointed assemblies: due to age (thinning of the wood, a completely natural phenomenon)
