"Rare Porcelain Glass From Niderviller - Ep. 18th Century"
Oval cooler with gadroons, handles in the shape of branches. The upper edge has notches used to support the legs of the glasses which then soak in the container. The shape of this cooler (also called CRENELATED GLASS BUCKET, or GLASS BUCKET) appears at the end of the 17th century. HARD porcelain. White background with polychrome decoration called "BARBEAUX". Blue and gold threads on the edges. Gold highlights on the handles. Dimensions: Long 34 cm - Height. 13 cm - Width. 20 cm, Brand(s): NIL, Condition: GOOD - Chips recovered at the bottom edge and at the ends of the handles (restoration invisible to the eye), Period; LOUIS XVI - 18th century, Observation(s): Tiny wear from use., This piece does not have a mark, but its shape (gadrooned) and its decoration leave no doubt as to the production of the Niderviller porcelain factory. She produced several pieces decorated with gadroons: canopies but also sugar bowls (See the photos). RARE MODEL.
