This stunning sculpture is a beautiful depiction of Saint Joaquin, dating back to the Historicism period of 1850-1900. Handmade in France with plaster material and carved with Realism style, this large statue stands at 155cm tall and 50cm in length, with a width of 45cm.

The limited edition piece features intricate details and is a wonderful addition to any art collection. It is an original production from the 19th century, showcasing the craftsmanship of that era. Ideal for art enthusiasts and collectors alike, this beautiful sculpture is sure to impress.


Joachim was, according to Christian tradition, the husband of Saint Anne, the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the maternal grandfather of Jesus.

Condition Report 


Absolutely Fabulous piece of history. In original condition, there are some holes and chips of the plaster and there have been rather simple repairs over the years.

Our items available for sale have been purchased and chosen for their age, admirable appearance and time gained patina, design status and skilled craftsmanship.




It should be noted that these works are antique or vintage and as such may be expected to show some signs of age, use and wear, please take this into consideration prior to purchase.
Shipping

Our main Depot is located in Montpellier in the South of France. The majority of our stock will be shipped from this location.

For small Items weighing less than 20kg and girth 180cm(W+Hx2), this is around 50x30x40cm box. 

Delivery 7-14 days dependant on your location. 

You may be subject to customs charges for your package which will be payable on the delivery of your item. Please contact our dedicated team for more information before your purchase.



Bulky items to UK and EU

These items will be shipped with our own transport partners who operate in-between UK-France-Spain. We aim to send these items in 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, however the delivery times will be vary.

Bulky Items - Overseas Shipping

We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our freight forwarding partners.

When all cost have been agreed we will organise packaging, and crating if required.

The shipment will then be delivered to our Freight forwarding partners in the UK, and booked on to the next sailing.

Sailings can take between 2-4 weeks depending on your destination.


If you do not have a customs broker to organise customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can assist with this.
These overseas deliveries can take between 4-8 weeks.

Insurance

For any shipments where you have paid an extra insurance fee, in the unfortunate event of any damage in transit. All damages must be reported to the end destination courier and us straight away in order that we can start the claims process.

Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase please contact us within 3 days of receipt of your purchase to arrange return and refund.

Returns should be in the original package as received

Items must be returned in their "as sold" condition.

The purchaser should communicate with the relevant shipping company that it is a return shipment, and cover all costs.
