Grandson Castle is a castle located in the territory of the Vaudois commune of Grandson and classified as a monument of national importance in Switzerland. The Grandson family is a noble house which held the Château de Grandson, from which it takes its name, in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Its influence in the region has been attested since the 11th century and the family played a major role until the end of the 14th century, the century of extinction of the elder branch.
