A Japanese Six Panels Byobu With Gold Dust Applications

Byobu 屏風 (folding screen) with six panels covered with hand-painted paper with gold dust applications. The decoration is made with gold dust applied to create a nuanced and realistic effect of sunlight creating a diffused and soft luminosity that captures the essence of natural light. The clouds are painted in delicate shades, they are fluid and organic, contributing to a sense of movement and dynamism. When natural or artificial light hits the decorated surface the screen shimmers and reflects the light, creating a shimmering effect that can transform the entire atmosphere of the room. The panels are framed with Japanese oak strips and original metal corners.
