Porcelain pot or tea box from the Compagnie des Indes, with European decoration of characters in a port (merchants or traders), with numerous boats in the background, a beautiful tree decorating the scene, with an openwork porcelain frieze and gilded at the bottom, from the Qianlong period (1736-1795) 18th century. This pot is in good condition and is superb quality. It doesn't have a lid. This decor is inspired by the Meissen porcelain models very popular in the 18th century. This pot is a piece intended for export to satisfy the tastes of European customers. Note: wear of the gilding on the bottom frieze, some slight enamelling defects, wear and tear, see photos.
