"Small Rosewood Living Room Table, Restoration Period – Early 19th Century"
This solid and veneered rosewood table opens on one side with two drawers whose veneer fronts are highlighted by lemon tree fillets and a projecting molding forming a rosary. These drawers are fitted with original locks with later keys. Below, a third hopper drawer occupies the entire length of the table. The back, crafted in the same spirit, simulates two drawers. These elements rest on four twisted legs ending in brass shoes. The wire wooden top surrounded by nets and molded on the edge, also in the shape of a rosary, has two shutters held by consoles. Easily accommodated, this restoration period coffee table will seduce with the quality and choice of its species. ******** Period: Early 19th Century Excellent condition. Waxed finish on hard base.
