A wonderful pair of antique French country carver armchairs, dating from the 19th century, and full of character and quirky detail. These comfortable chairs feature woven rush seating, and pierced back splats carved with a charming motif of flowers and foliage in a vase. The top rail is high and smoothly rounded for extra support, while the arm rests are generously wide, resting on nicely curved supports.
