"Earthenware Dish From Saint Cloud, End Of The 17th Century. "
This very large circular hollow dish is decorated, in the center, with floral scrolls, painted in blue on a white background, imitating the decorations of Chinese porcelain, brought back to Europe by the East India Company. On the wing, four flower reserves are arranged on a trellis background. A large blue net borders the end of the wing and a frieze of geometric patterns surrounds the bottom of the dish. A similar model is kept at the Sèvres museum. In excellent general condition, it nevertheless has one or two enamel breaks around the edge. Late 17th century period. Dimensions 44 cm
