"19th Century Louis XVI Style Giltwood Console Mirror"
A superb quality Louis XVI style gilded wood bead wall mirror, rectangular in shape and featuring an unusual glass 'bubble' design placed on all four sides of its ornate gilt frame. The mirror is crowned with an exuberant carved pediment that incorporates stylized motifs of painter's accessories, topped with a cascading knotted bow. Highly decorative gilt and stucco moldings generously cover the entire frame, including its elegant entry angles, in a pattern of foliage and flowers, while a delicate string of pearls surrounds the mirror plate itself . In good antique condition with minor cracks and losses to the stucco, commensurate with its age and use.
