"Large Vase By Atelier Callis, Circa 1946"
Founded by Roger Capron, Jean Derval, and Robert Picault in 1946, the Atelier Callis marks a significant milestone in the history of French ceramics. Located in Vallauris, a renowned hub for ceramics in France, Atelier Callis played a crucial role in shaping the style and aesthetics of contemporary ceramics. Although active only from 1946 to 1948, the atelier's pieces are rare and highly sought after.

This large vase, featuring three wide, undulating handles, is crafted from red clay with a green and white crackled glaze, showcasing the atelier's early work at its finest.

Marked with the clay pot and Callis on the reverse.
