"“the Red Needles” Etienne Bovier-lapierre"
Etienne BOVIER-LAPIERRE was born in 1908 in Saint-Chamond in the Loire. He died in 1987 at Veyrier du Lac in Haute-Savoie. The young Etienne works with his pharmacist father who would like him to take over and refuses him the Beaux-Arts in Paris. However, he studied Fine Arts at Saint-Etienne until 1926 and continued his studies in Lyon. Seduced by Cariffa's painting and his knife technique, he will meet him and go mountain shopping with him. The painting is annotated on the back "Le ? et les Aiguilles Rouges, Hte-Savoie". Etienne Bovier-Lapierre appears in the book “Les Peintres de la Savoie” by Anne Buttin and Sylvain Jacqueline. The dimensions of the painting with its frame are 26.5 cm x 33.5 cm. Packaging, postage and insurance costs for Colissimo with tracking are €20 for France and €30 for the European Union.
