"Large Mirror In Carved And Gilded Wood Regency Period Early 18th Century"
Large rectangular mirror in carved and gilded oak from the Regency period, early 18th century. Arched pediment with delicately carved "military attributes" such as drums, banners, quivers, flame, all decorated with falling flowers on each side and a spinge placed on a stylized helmet in the center. Richly carved frame with foliage scrolls and flowers in braces, decorated with shells in the center, corners decorated with shells in spandrels. Gold leaf gilding in very good condition (slight old repairs). Original mercury mirror in good condition (some wear at the union). Original parquet floor. Parisian work from the Regency period, early 18th century.
