""mushroom" Lamp With Foxgloves, 'art Nouveau' Period Glass Paste Signed "schneider"."
It is composed of a foot (h. 30.5) with a cylindrical base (diam. 11), 'spindle' shaped. Two branches of red foxgloves, cleared with acid, climb its bole. The signature is engraved on its base. The original lighting system, with two lamps, is placed on this base and held in place by three 'ball' screws. The lower intensity lamp illuminates the interior. Three metallic branches, moving, wear the hat (diam.23, h.10). Two branches of foxgloves run around its edge with, in the center, a radiant pattern. The two parts together perfectly simulate an elegant 'Caesar agaric'! whose luminosity gives it real decorative power. Very beautiful model by Charles Schneider in his early days, who later founded, with his brother, "Le Verre Français".
