PE Bécat is a French painter, engraver and designer and holder of a first second Grand Prix de Rome in 1920. He is better known today as an illustrator of erotic books. He is a student of the painters Gabriel Ferrier and François Flameng and exhibits at the Salon French artists since 1913. He became known for his portraits of French writers.
