Lemarchand-Lemoine: Magnificent scriban cabinet stamped Napoleon III period in mother-of-pearl and precious wood marquetry circa 1850 opening on the front with four leaves, two of which have mirrors and a flap revealing a superb interior theater lower part with hidden English-style drawers Parisian furniture of very high quality cabinetmaking About André Lemoyne (or Lemoine): -House founded around 1789 by Charles-Joseph Lemarchand (1759-1826). -Patented supplier to the Garde-meuble Royal from 1817. -Louis-Edouard Lemarchand (1795-1872) collaborated with his father from 1815 and took charge of the house around 1824. -He transferred the workshops to 17, rue des Tournelles in 1828. -Patented supplier to the Crown. -In 1846 he joined forces with André Lemoyne (or Lemoine) to whom he left the company in 1852. -Henri Lemoyne (born in Paris in 1828) succeeded his father in 1863; both are certified suppliers to Napoleon III. -The house was taken over by Charles Jeanselme in 1893. -A Lemarchand-Lemoine table is notably kept at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
