"The Little Pond Fernand Maillaud"
Fernand Maillaud born on 12/12/1862 in Mouhet in Indre and died in Paris in 1948. He took drawing lessons from the City of Paris and at the Paris School of Fine Arts. He began in 1896 at the Salon of French Artists, he regularly presented a work there each year until his death. From 1895 to 1902 Fernand Maillaud spent the summer in Fresselines, near Crozant. He found in Maurice Rollinat a valuable ally in his fight for recognition of the authenticity of the rural world. For Maillaud it is the era of peasants bent under fagots.
