Sumptuous secretary of very high quality stamped G. Kemp received master in 1764, Parisian cabinetmaker very recognized and appreciated for his great talents as marquetry on very careful workmanship. Secretary decorated on all sides with very beautiful floral marquetry of various woods, cicomore, tinted cicomore, maple, pear, lemon tree on a rosewood background framed with violet wood and highlighted with a green tinted net. The flap inlaid with a sumptuous bouquet emerging from an openwork basket and framed with garlands of flowers reveals a rosewood interior with 6 drawers veneered with curly rosewood and highlighted with a green tinted net. Fine green leather covered in gold on this flap supported by two iron compasses, which makes it a very solid work surface and a very refined interior. The two lower leaves are also inlaid with bouquets in openwork baskets and reveal an interior also rosewood. Sides inlaid with bouquets and garlands linked by a typically Louis XVI style ribbon. Front legs with inlaid cut pants with a slight projection like the rear legs and which stand out against the Languedoc red marble. A drawer in the upper part also inlaid.
