"Safavid Persian Antique Islamic Turquoise Earthenware Pot Vase "
15th-18th century Persia An antique turquoise glazed earthenware vase or pot from the Islamic Safavid period with black decoration.
This beautiful piece was collected at the beginning of the 20th century in Iran and its provenance is the Château de Turenne in Corrèze France. Purchased from descendants by myself a few years ago on the site.
The vase has some damage to the glazing of the body, a few lines and on part of the edge the glazing has disappeared revealing the earthenware underneath. This is old damage.
Splendid colors and wear, a rare piece of history.
