Francesco Maria Pieri (Castagneto Carducci 1941 - Livorno 1989).
For many years he worked in Livorno and from a very young age he was part of the Labronico Group. Linked to the theme of landscape, which he created with strength, vibrant and full-bodied brushwork, study of perspective and light. He was able to sensitively capture the colors of the seasons, the red and burnt tones, the work of man, the silence of the farmhouses.
Landscapes and seascapes, but also still lifes or compositions with objects from rural life and fruit, are painted almost with a hyper-realist technique.
