Elegant sculpture representing a bronze dancer decorated with polychrome enamel buttons (red, orange, green) on her dress, shoes and headdress. This woman is depicted in superb balance and rests on a black Portor marble base. Work carried out by the famous sculptor Paul Philippe, entitled "The Russian dancer" and signed under the dancer's foot. Model listed, reproduced on page 251.by Bryan Catley "Art Deco and other Figures", Chancery House Publishing Co. Ltd., 1981. Work in a pure Art Deco style, circa 1920. Perfect condition.
