"Art Nouveau Glass Paste Vase Montjoye Saint Denis, Carl Deffner."
Gourd vase in frosted glass paste and bronze frame from the late 19th early 20th century in art nouveau style. Very interesting piece stamped on the back with the hallmark of Carl Deffner Esslinger. Carl Deffner was a German goldsmith and coppersmith who created Jugendstil at the end of the 19th century. Here a very beautiful frame elegantly surrounding an acid-worked glass paste giving off a magnificent polychrome iris decoration on a frosted surface background. Glass paste that we can attribute to Montjoye Saint Denis. Very original modernist piece to collect. Possibility of sending in France and throughout the world by carrier or by secure and insured package. Invoice and certificate provided.
