Object description :

"Grand Tour Bronze Bust Of Ajax"
Nice bust of the Greek hero Ajax in Bronze with nuanced brown patination. He is represented in a toga and a helmet which is enriched with a bas relief of centaurs fighting soldiers and panthers, the top being decorated with a pair of eagles. The foot is in purple breccia marble.

End 19th century.
