Electrified, missing a tube. Size 41 cm and 65 cm in total. Dominique Adolphe Grenet, born November 24, 1821 in Joigny and died June 28, 1885 in Gien, is a French painter. Biography Dominique Adolphe Grenet de Joigny is the son of Dominique Grenet, doctor of medicine, and Louise Hélène Joséphine Mocquot1. In fine arts, he was a student of Auguste Couder and Léon Cogniet, he exhibited at the Salon from 1845. In 1872, he married Adélaïde Antoinette Lamôme, in the presence of the painters Louis-Eugène Schopin2 and Pierre-Eugène Marc3. He died at his home in Gien at the age of 634.
