Old Double Row Gold Necklace And Its Enameled Clasp

Antique yellow gold necklace made up of a double belcher chain held by a rectangular ratchet clasp with safety chain. This clasp is delicately carved with pansy flowers on its two sides, one being decorated with a basket motif, the other with a diamond-shaped cartouche and diamond-shaped motifs all around. The flowers and their foliage are partially enamelled green, white and heavy blue.

Period: 20th century
Main material: yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats, eagle's head hallmark.
Proportions: Length: approximately 58 cm, width of the chain: approximately 1.8 mm, width of the clasp: approximately 2.5 cm, height: approximately 1.5 cm, thickness: approximately 1.7 mm.
Net weight: approximately 9.8g.
Authentic old jewel - French work from the beginning of the 20th century. Small lack of enamel on both sides of the clasp, barely visible.
Our opinion: An antique necklace in gold and delicate and refined enamel, characteristic of antique jewelry from the Belle Epoque.
