The group depicts a gallant scene where a noblewoman is greeted by a servant as she steps out of the carriage.

The carriage driven by a coachman wearing period clothing bears a royal crown on the roof and is pulled by two splendid horses.

The fineness of the carving and the composition of the work place it between the first and second decades of the twentieth century.
