"Lacquer Betel Box, Burma"
Old box with lacquered bamboo compartments, finely decorated with motifs depicting scenes from daily life in Burma. It was used to provide the necessary items for consuming Betel nuts. Apart from some small wear and minor cracks, the box is in very good condition and has not undergone any restoration, circa 19th century.
