René Rodes (1896-1971): “La Nive à Bidarray”, oil on panel 38 The artist, who worked a lot in Agenais and Périgord, after settling in Bordeaux as a literature teacher, followed the lessons of Robert Charazac and Pierre-Albert Bégaud, with whom he became a friend. They went together to the Basque Country, notably to Bidarray where Bégaud had a house and where they painted together.
