Biography:
M'hamed Issiakhem, born in Taboudoucht (Aghribs) then in the Department of Tizi Ouzou in Algeria and died in Algiers in 1985, is an Algerian painter, representative of modern painting in Algeria.
From 1947 to 1951, he was a student of the Society of Fine Arts in Algiers, then of the School of Fine Arts of Algiers and followed the courses of the miniaturist Omar Racim.
He will then follow a training course, exceptional for a young man from the colonized world: School of Fine Arts of Algiers until 1951, date on which he met Kateb Yacine, training in engraving at the École Estienne in Paris, admission by competitive examination, in 1953, to the Beaux- Arts de Paris, where he found Kateb Yacine, in the painting section, finally obtaining a scholarship for a resident of the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid.
