Leonardesque head of a woman dating from the 1920s with a very distinct Renaissance haircut - curled at the sides and the back. The sfumato effect is not easy to achieve in sculpture as successfully as it is here, and the air of mystery around this woman and the play of light and shadow is superbly done.
