"Paris 1798-1809, Sterling Silver, Bouillon Or Soup Tureen , Nicolas Richard Masson "
Lovely little tureen or broth in solid silver of the first title, from the Directoire, Consulate or Empire period (1798-1809). It bears the hallmark of the master Parisian goldsmith Nicolas Richard Masson as well as the guarantee hallmarks "au premier coq " for the silver of the first title (950%) from the period 1798-1809. Both the form and the decorations are still strongly influenced by what was done at the end of the Louis XVI period. Of great finesse of execution, it is crowned with a grip in the shape of a greyhound holding a shield in cast and chiseled silver. It is still accompanied by its original dish with identical hallmarks. The whole weighs 800 grams.
