"Provençal Trumeau, Entre Deux Mirror From The Louis XVI Period - Gilded Gold Leaf, Mercury Glaze"
Provençal trumeau in carved lacquered wood and gilded with gold leaf. It is decorated with a trophy of gardening and music attributes suspended by a ribbon (hat, shovel, bagpipes, musical scores). Elegant production from the Louis XVI period (18th century, circa 1780), typical of Provençal production around Aix en Provence. Original gold leaf gilding, sparkling mercury ice in 2 parts, also from the 18th century. A very decorative piece, it is high but narrow, which has the advantage of being multi-use: it can be placed on a fireplace, on a piece of furniture, between 2 windows. Entirely made of 18th century materials, our trumeau is light and can easily be hung. The whole is in excellent condition. The gilding was restored by our gilder. Height: 198cm Width: 81cm
