Extremely rare pair of Louis XVI salt cellars still possessing their original cut blue glass interiors. They bear the guarantee hallmarks of the city of Antwerp for the vintage 1786 and the master goldsmith hallmark of Jean-Baptiste I Verberckt, the most prestigious and famous Antwerp goldsmith of his generation. The countless works by his hand which have come down to us in public and private collections all testify to his great virtuosity and his incredible know-how. It is very rare to find salts that still have their original glass interiors, more than 240 years of careful handling are necessary to achieve this little miracle.
