"Renaissance Style Oak Cartonnier With 8 Cartons, 19th Century Lectern With Corinthian Columns"
Pretty solid oak cardboard box in Renaissance style. It rests on two ball feet at the front, topped with a largely molded plinth. In its lower part, two drawers with a front decorated with a central cartouche and foliage. Eight compartments in four rows each contain a cardboard drawer opening on the front. The upper part is a writing desk, its facade is composed of two false drawers presenting the same ornamentations as the lower part. A flap reveals a storage surface, at the back of it, a second small flap also allows functional storage. The sides are decorated with two fluted columns ending in pilasters with Corinthian decoration. The boxes are in very good condition but have some traces of use, completely normal given their use and age. Professional furniture from the second half of the 19th century found mainly in administrations and among notaries who used them for storing documents. Ideal for classifying documents, papers etc...
