Pair Of Candlestick Candlesticks From The Palais Royal 1790, 1820.

Turned ivory, opaline.
These rare lighting fixtures with very sober proportions between the Directory and the Empire are therefore made up of a truncated rectangular pyramid base, a very slightly conical shaft towards the top, carrying an almost spherical binet like certain Empire models.
It is the work of a table maker at the Palais Royal, a Parisian gallery where the luxury goods shops of the time were grouped.
The tablet makers worked ivory for all kinds of small objects, ball cards, game tokens, and more rarely lighting fixtures.
The work is of perfect quality.
Beautiful opaline bobèches, matching their color and shape, have their place perfectly under the binets.
The age (pre-convention object made before March 2, 1947) of this object excludes it from the need for CITES. A declaration procedure justifying its seniority will be attached when sending it to authorize its movement.
Condition:
Very good condition for this type of object, a small repair to the pedestal of a barrel, almost invisible, Normal age cracks without fragility or lack.
