Magnificent pair of large marble cassolettes mounted on gilded bronze from the Napoleon III period, dating from the 19th century. Each cassolette, with a height of 56 cm, a width (at the handles) of 23 cm and a diameter of the urn of 19 cm, rests on a square bronze base, topped with a pedestal decorated with garlands and a finely carved openwork basket. The sea green, serpentine marble is decorated with garlands of flowers and handles in the shape of swans' heads. The whole thing is crowned with a serpentine lid with a pinecone-shaped grip.
