"Longwy Enamel Dish "murmure" Limited Edition Signed Paul Mignon Enhancer A. Kirchtetter"
Longwy enamel dish, titled "Murmure" 142nd piece out of 150 from a limited series created by the Atelier d'Art de Longwy signed Paul Mignon, with the raiser Albert Kirchtetter. This workshop aimed to design and manufacture unique pieces or in limited series. Only pieces in very high quality enamels have this stamp located on the back of the piece. The stamp takes up the conventional weapons of the d'Huart. It was designed by MP Chevallier. In 1957, the words “Made in France” were added. Paul Mignon (1931 - 2012), who joined the factory at a very young age, signed his first creations at the age of 16 and became curator of the private museum of the factory at 21, best worker in France at 34. This piece with a black background, and gilded with fine gold, with a Japanese decoration, was enhanced by Albert Kirchtertter (1910-1959), whose work consisted of highlighting the design by applying a 2nd layer of enamel to give volume to the piece. This dish is in perfect condition.
