Devotional painting depicting St. Philomena in an urn lying on a cushion and bearing on her head a floral crown symbolising her noble origin, the palm in her hand and the arrow symbolising her martyrdom. The floral element also recurs as the decoration of the long tunic, with small recurring flowers. Datable to the Neoclassical period at the end of the 18th century. 
Good general state of preservation. Measures 34x24 cm excluding coeval lacquer and mecca frame.
