LARGE CHOCOLATE or LUNCH CUP and its SAUCER in PARIS porcelain representing KING LOUIS XVIII - Ep. EARLY 19th Century Individual cup used for serving lunch, also called a chocolate cup. It rests on a low pedestal; the edge is slightly flared. It has a flattened vertical side handle. The saucer is hollow with a flared edge. HARD porcelain. Deep in wine. In the center of the cup, large medallion with the portrait of Louis XVIII wearing the plaque and cord of the Order of the Holy Spirit, surrounded by a large gold net worked with agate. It is framed by two medallions with the initials "DB" and "MA". On the saucer decoration of military attributes in polychrome, and arms of France in gilding worked with agate. Large gold threads on the edges.
