The light and the impressionist touch are typical of the painter André Prevot Valéri (1890-1959)*.

*André Prévot-Valéri, born in Paris in 1890 and died in Granville in 1959, is a painter from La Manche.
He was a student of Antoine Guillemet (1843-1918), then of Jules Lefebvre (1834-1911).
He painted numerous landscapes and scenes from life in Normandy and Brittany. The English Channel particularly inspired him, notably the banks of Siena, a “Mother and her child in front of the church of Saint-Planchers”, the cathedral of Coutances... In 1907, he won the Rosa Bonheur prize.
He lived for a few years at Les Salines in Bricqueville-sur-Mer, where his wife is from. In 2008, the municipal council of Bricqueville-sur-Mer decided to give its name to the municipal school
