"Imperial Japanese Bronze Perfume Burner With Coloquinte Meiji 19th"
Large incense burner, in bronze, with dark brown patina, Meiji period (1868-1912). The four small feet rest on a pumpkin lid, perfume burner depicting a colocynth, on which a relief decoration of birds and branches is applied. The lid is surmounted by a rooster and a hen, rare colocynth model, in very good condition, very small gaps at the ends of the rooster's feathers, a small gap between the legs of the hen and the rooster, very probably original which allows the smoke to escape from the bronze perfume burner of superb quality
