Large 19th Century Souvenir Paperweight

Description:
Chiseled bronze, antique patina, Sarrancolin marble.
By its size and weight, this paperweight is also a sculpture. It represents the chubby arm of a baby emerging from a drape, we even see the crease at the wrist that babies have. In the 19th century, a part of the body was often reproduced as a souvenir (pianist's hand, child's hand, etc.).
The work is without weakness and enhanced by a large molded base.
