Object description :

"Aubusson Tapestry, 18th Century Greenery"
Aubusson tapestry from the beginning of the 18th century in wool and silk.

- The design of this tapestry is careful with a search for depth thanks to the succession of different planes. The perception of the volume of the foliage has been finely transcribed by light green tones juxtaposed with darker ones as well as by bursts of light introduced by touch, thanks to the use of golden yellow silk, at the ends of the leaves. These keys of light also help guide the reading direction; its rays of sunlight penetrate the greenery from the left.

-Good state of conservation, fully lined, hook fixing system, old restorations should be noted.

-Ready to hang.

-Dimensions: Height: 291 cm Width: 135 cm
