"Period Transition Buffet In Satin Marquetry - Shallow Depth H135 X L166 X P41cm"
Rare shallow sideboard in satin veneer with fillet frames on oak and fir box. With cut-off uprights, it rests on claw feet and is decorated with a rich decoration of chiseled and mercury-gilded bronzes (superb corner falls in rows of piastres). This beautiful and large piece of furniture opens with 2 large doors whose interiors are also inlaid. It is topped with its original Aleppo Breche marble, carved in cavet (luxury marble). Parisian work from the Transition period Louis A piece of furniture that looks big but doesn't take up any floor space. It can be used as a dining room sideboard, but also a perfect complement to our satin cylinder desk, to make an office piece of furniture where you can store files invisibly. It is a rare proposition, an unusual piece of furniture. The quality of the bronzes, the luxury marble and the interior of the doors veneered with marquetry are also signs of high quality. It is in very good condition ; varnish with pad cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker. Old restorations, No accident to the plating, original marble. Length: 166cm Height: 135cm Depth: 41cm
