Large turned wood stamp, French Restoration period, 1st half of 19th century, ending by used brass seal, deeply engraved with a beautiful coat of arms: under a crown of ears of wheat, surrounded by knotted laurel: 3 fleurs-de-lys : Kingdom of France circa 1820: and the text: “Syndics des Boulangers de la ville de la Croix Rousse” Boulangeries de la Croix-Rousse, organization of the profession (1795-1862),
This seal has served a lot, remanded, border suffered, but it is a wonderful witness, much rarer than personal noble seals.
