Desk + (armchair) Napoleon III French 19th Century Period.

Antique French Napoleon III desk + (armchair) in mahogany with finely chiseled gilded bronze application.

The top has an original 24kt gold chiseled leather covering from the period surrounded by a gilt bronze border.

The front is punctuated by three drawers embellished with gilded bronze leaf motif handles and vents.

The sides are surrounded like the front with bronze profiles with a mask in the centre.

The four feet are embellished by the presence of large bronze sculptures depicting busts of women resting on leaf motifs and end with expertly chiseled bronze socks.

The opposite face appears to be a mirror image of the main one.

The interiors appear to be in oak wood.
