Engraving made after Guercin (Guercino inv) and it also bears the mention "F Bartolozzi sculp"

Self-taught artist, Guercin (1591-1666), real name Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, first trained with painters from his town of Cento, then left to study in Bologna, where he would have access to the works and artistic environment of the Carracci. Years of work followed, in Venice, Rome, Bologna and a prolific body of work, which can be found today in numerous museums around the world and churches in Italy.
