"Iran / Small Silver Cup / Palhavi, 1927"
COMMEMORATIVE SILVER CUP Iran, Pahlavi, 1927 Circular and in silver, the rim with chiseled floral motifs. Within it, a coin of 5000 Iranian dinars with, on the obverse, a portrait of Reza Shah (first leader of the Pahlavi Dynasty, having reigned from 1925 to 1941), on the reverse, a passing lion holding his right front paw a sabre, a sun crowned with a tiarre behind it, laurel edge, inscription below. Iranian title mark (.875) within the cup. Alongside him, probable town hallmarks, goldsmith, workshop.
